Mark,
Sitting with you the other day, I still can't believe that Shane is gone. Just know that you were a fantastic father. May he RIP

Saratoga Springs - Shane lived a difficult life and faced a lot of challenges, a lot of heartache and struggles. Thankfully, in the end with the help of St. Josephs Rehab Saranac Lake, Shane's life was turned around. He was a happy, content, clean loving kind gentle soul.
He married a beautiful woman, Florencia, from Argentina, on October 28, 2017. Shane had a loving supportive family beside him.
Shane was a pro snowboarder, skateboarder, and he loved singing songs with Florencia. He was just a fun loving young man. He loved pizza, ketchup, mini wheats, pastries from Price Chopper, vaping, seltzer, and Death Wish Coffee. Shane loved cheering for his little sister Ryleigh at Saratoga Catholic basketball games. He always had unconditional love and support for his sister Shannon. Shane always had her back.
This is a sudden death. Shane was not ready to go on December 20th, 2017. He had so much life to live. Unfortunately, heroin addiction took my one and only son, Shane, who I will love and miss forever.
He is survived by his loving and beautiful wife Florencia, their dog Doctor Bailey, his mother Christina Burns, Step-Father Jim Burns, sister Shannon, little sister Ryleigh, his Aunt Karen and Uncle Teddy, several cousins, and many friends.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Thursday, Dec. 28, at St Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Ave. and burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave.
Donations can be made in Shane's name to St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment and Recovery Center (P.O. Box 470, Saranac Lake, NY 12983) or the Addictions Care Center of Albany (90 McCarty Ave., Albany, NY 12202).

Shane was the most amazing person I had the honor to meet. He was my husband and best friend. He went through a lot of pain in his life but he always tried to keep going. He didn't want to die, he was not ready to leave! I think sometimes life is not fair but I'm forever grateful for had him by my side the past years, for being his one love and for all the beautiful memories that I have with him. I miss Shane so much, my life is never gonna be the same without him but I know that someday we...

To my big brother Shane,
This heartbreak is something I am never going to be able to get over. As much as we would bicker, I knew you always had my back and you knew I always had yours. The childhood memories of all of our times racing the four wheelers, to you traveling and living in Utah, to us all following you and having your back during your recovery, to the calls to check up on me when I was in California and you were at St. Joes, to me living with you for a period of time when I...
