Shane Patrick Langmaid, 16, of Lowell, left this world suddenly on Saturday, January 22, 2005.
He was born in Morrisville on October 26, 1988, the son of Randy George and Tonya May (Elwood) Langmaid.
Shane loved to work on or ride motorcycles, cars, trucks and dirtbikes. He enjoyed racing snowmobiles with his father last winter. He loved spending time with his grandpa Eldred, his dad, Gerry, Kevin, and especially his new baby sister, Miriah. Shane was a junior at North Country Union High School in the V.S.A.C. Program and was hoping to go to college to be a mechanic.
Shane is survived by his parents, Randy and Tonya Langmaid of Lowell, his sister, Mariah Langmaid of Lowell, his pals, Thomas R. Andrew A., Tim and Mark P., Nate H., and Jodi R., his special friend, Hannah R. and by many grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Shane will be sadly missed by his entire family and many friends. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Ryan in December of 2003.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 27 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Memorial Chapel, 37 Lake Road, Newport (formerly Bay St.) at 3:00 p.m. with family and friends sharing moments of reflection. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Parking and easy ramped access in rear of funeral home.
Should friends desire, contributions in Shane’s memory may be made to the Lowell Elementary School, Playground Fund, C/O Missy Pion, 1201 Buck Hill Road, Lowell, VT 05847.

Words could and can never express how i felt the day i found out about Shane, i am ohh so sorry about your losses these past two years. I really hope things get better for you. I am so sorry.
