I am another who followed your story since Thanksgiving morning and did not know Shane. I am a trauma nurse for 40 years and have dealt with death and dying in many many ways. To Shane's family and friends I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not know Shane personally, but kept up with the search from day one. Seeing so many people come together to search and hang ribbons and posters all for Shane was truly remarkable. I can honestly say I am proud to be from Roxborough/Manyunk. Sadly the outcome was not what any of us wanted but God works in mysterious ways. I continue to pray everyday for the Montgomery, Verbrugge, and Whitman families that you find comfort...
