Admiral Cramer and Marie were dear friends of my husband (Rev. George B. Shealy)and mine (Gloria). Before my husband died he and the Admiral had many phone chats as neither were able to visit. He and Marie were very special to us and my prayers are with all of you. Gloria Shealy _ Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church

Shannon was my first cousin. I wish I had known him better, but differences in our ages and locations made that difficult. However, my mother, Esther Duffey, spoke lovingly of him and so appreciated his visits with her, especially as she grew older. Obviously, he was a very accomplished man, but what resonates most with me is the care and compassion he showed my mom. So sorry for your loss...

Admiral Cramer was my SUBFLOT Commander when I was a submarine XO and CO in Charleston. He was truly a gentleman and great naval officer, who provided wonderful advice and counsel to me at that time. My thoughts and prayers go to all the family.
