CLEAR LAKE - Shannon M. DuClos, 26, of 1119 S. Third St., Clear Lake, died Sunday (Aug. 12, 2007) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at the Open Bible Church, 609 S. Eighth St., Clear Lake, with Pastor Will Hunsaker officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

A private family inurnment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the Shannon M. DuClos Memorial Fund.

Shannon M. DuClos was born on Sept. 24, 1980, in Mason City, the daughter of Diane DuClos and David True.

Shannon attended grade school in Thornton and then attended Clear Lake Schools. In January 2006 she began work for Retlaws as a cook.

Shannon was a person who enjoyed life. She enjoyed dancing, playing rummy, listening to music, camping, hanging out with friends and spending time with her family, especially her children.

She is survived by her mother, Diane DuClos, of Clear Lake; her father, Dave (Judy) True, of Mason City; three children: Mikah DuClos, Madison DuClos and Bayleah DuClos, all of Clear Lake; one brother, Christopher DuClos, of Clear Lake; one sister, Chelsea True, of Mason City; one stepbrother, Travis Bielefeld, of Mason City; one stepsister, Stacy Bielefeld, of Mason City; grandmother, D. Maxine DuClos, of Clear Lake; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Carl and Clara True; maternal grandfather, Lewis DuClos; aunt, Debbie Sawtelle; and uncle, David DuClos.

shannon was a great friend. She was around 75% of the time over at chris's and her mother's apartment and i liked shannon alot she means alot to me. i was with the duclos family just about everyday after school. i was very close to shannon.
