Shannon was one of those rare people who didn´t just care; she showed up. Behind the scenes, without fanfare, she took on one of the most unglamorous but critical tasks we had at Future Brilliance: helping to build, update, and relentlessly maintain the living list of more than 1,200 Afghan asylum seekers, names, details, changing circumstances, lost connections, new leads. I miss you, Shannon. I thought we had many more times to share. You have a special place in my heart. The big sister I never had. Shining, beautiful and bright. I always had so much fun with you.

What a beautify spirit Shannon was! She had such a big heart, and affected to many lives. We worked together for several years and stayed friends afterwards. Some of the things I am proudest of achieving came about because of Shannon and her effervescent nature and ability to connect with people.
