LAKE LUZERNE * Shannon R. Kelly, 40, of Lake Luzerne passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 12, 2007, at his residence.

Born on July 16, 1966, in Glens Falls, his father being Shamous Kelly and Deborah of Argyle and his mother being April Dickinson and her husband, David, of Queensbury.

Shannon was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He attended Queensbury school, graduating in 1985. While in high school, he participated as a quarterback of the football team and was on the wrestling team.

Shannon was the sole proprietor of SRK Construction.

He enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing, anything that involved the woods, four-wheeling, horseshoes and beating all the competition, but enjoying his family was his greatest love.

His paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Marie Kelly, his maternal grandparents, Warren and Doris Ballard, and his uncles, Edward Ballard and Richard Ballard,

predeceased Shannon.

Survivors besides his parents, include his son, Shane R. Kelly of Fort Ann; daughter, Brandie McKittrick of Glens Falls; his brother, Patrick Kelly of Queensbury; his sisters, Aprilann North of Glens Falls and Samantha Large of Florida; and his stepbrother, William D. Dickinson of Vermont. His extended family, Lisa M. Shufelt of Lake Luzerne.

A funeral service will be held at a time to be announced on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury, with burial to follow.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Shannon's memory are suggested to Forever Wild.
