Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family & friends of Shantel. She will truly be missed by those who loved her.

Louis & Angelle Jarreau

Shantel was the one person in the world I could talk to who I knew always listened to me. I mean, really listened. With her ears and mind, but mostly with her heart. She had this way about her that made me know that she truly was sad when I was sad and glad when I was glad.

We celebrated so many things, cried so many tears and dreamed so many dreams. I praise God for giving her to us for the ephemeral time alloted. My heart breaks for Marvon, Gabby and the whole family, but I know...

I hope and Pray that family and friends are able to hold on to the many wonderful treasures she gave of herself. She always had something profound or memorable to say with humor or serous tone. We Loved Her All the Same... Reed Alum will always remember her... Tina Ellsworth-Hooks

earth has no sorrow, that HEAVEN can not heal ,GOD bless your family in this time of sorrow.

My heart goes out to the rest of the family. Shantel was a strenght to the point woman.....thats what everyone loved about her. May the memories bring family member and friends comfort and peace.

May God continue to bless and strenghten you in this time of need. And may Shantell's spirit and smile shine bright through all that she has touched.

I have tried to write something for the last several days but have not managed to complete it. Here goes:

Butta,

It still amazes me how small this world is! The story of you catching a ride to my wedding cracks me up till this day! Please know that Eric and I have held you up in prayer.

Gabby,

Your mom and I used to joke all the time about how you acted like me (she called me prissy :-)....now, unfortunately, we still share some similarities. I...
