India 2004 news interview

Dr. Naimi was one of a kind! I will miss him. It was an honor to attend Tim and Chetna's wedding in India in 2004 with the Naimi family. His sage advice was recognized worldwide - as seen in this photo of a news-on-the-street interview in India during our time there. My sincere condolences to Mrs Naimi, Sudie, Tim, Cam, and family.

Dr. Naimi was one of my favorite teachers as a student and resident, and later as a colleague--the consummate physician and role model for compassionate care. He so effortlessly shared his wisdom, often at patients' bedsides, and was beloved by all. It was such a privilege to learn from him, and to be counted as a colleague over so many years. He definitely helped solidify TMC's renown for clinical excellence and teaching. "Shoop" will be sorely missed.

He and Amy were regulars at both practices and games early in the morning and at our sometimes far-flung game locations. I will always remember him as a kind and reserved smiling presence at practices, school functions and car pools who would burst out with arms up and a...
