Shara Johnson Kargbo

To know Shara was to be loved by her. And we are all so lucky to say that. So much of who I am today is because of the love and care Shara selflessly poured into me. She was my closest friend, someone I aspired to be more like every day, my mentor in life. I’ll never forget the belly laughs or our podcast long voice messages just about every day or our Thursday Thai food dates or how she changed the world. Shara was the embodiment of warmth. Heaven is so very fortunate to have her ♥

We love LeslieM and any friend of hers. Our son served two years in Sierra Leone for the Peace Corps, way up in Kamakwie. Many children and relatives in Freetown will miss Shara, as will anyone who knew her here. May light perpetual shine upon her.
