Not sure what to say?

Dear Family of Shariar,
I just came across the news of Shariar's passing and I am overwhelmed with sadness. I am sorry if reopening this guestbook and adding to the record of those who loved, admired and respected him so much is painful to you as time has passed on, but I hope and believe that in the long run the affection in our hearts and love we express and share has a cumulative weight and force that is eternal, and healing as it unites us in one spirit. I was a friend of Shariar's...

Laura, I am so sorry to hear of Shariar's death. My heart goes out to you and your boys, and I wish there was something I could do to ease the hurt and sadness. Please know you all remain in my thoughts and prayers.

A friend of mine died and I didn’t know him that well.
But I liked him and he liked my kids and I do like his.
I claimed him in my heart as my friend; many a year ago!
The tears keep falling and I know why they’re shed,
Yes I know it’s for the things this friend (me) left unsaid!

I’m tired but I can’t sleep because I’m thinking about my friend
A wonderful, kind hearted guy with a great smile, even for me!
Smiles from the heart and soul are worth their...

Dear Laura, Aaron, Nick and Ryan,
While we have never met in person, we have known all about you for many years, from Shariar updating my wife. My wife and Shariar worked together in Iran during the 1970's, and both ended up in the US starting their lives over again. Over the years we knew of Shariar's business sucess, but he always remained humble about this, and he instead talked about family and being a devoted family man, talking with excitement about his kids, and homelife. My...

Our prayers are with all of you and we are here for you and the boys.. for anything. You are blessed with a great many friends.. family and one another and in that love you will find peace. May you all be blessed with grace and love and peace. ...

Dear Mrs. Zaimi, Aaron, Nick and Ryan,
I am sad that Mr. Zaimi will not came from the back door and whistle like He use to and ask me"Hi Paula how are you? where is my family?"
He was always polite, caring, funny and defenitely smart.
I will miss Him!!!
My condolences to you and your family.

Laura, I am so sad to hear about Shariar. If there is anything we can do help you and the boys through this difficult time, please let me know. I am thankful to have been able to talk with Shariar back in May at Congressional. He was always happy and had a big smile on his face, which is how I will always remember him. Our condolences to you and the your sons. Jerry, Jane, Sarah, Judy and Jerry.

Laura and boys - We were so sad to learn of Shariar's passing. While our lives haven't crossed paths as much in recent years, we remember him fondly as our neighbor, fellow PUMC member, devoted father and husband. May your faith and memories comfort you as you grieve for the loss of your husband and father. Our deepest sympathies and condolences at this very sad time.

I cannot think of Shariar without remembering his generosity of time, talent, and treasure toward the Parish Center constructed 2003-2004 at Potomac United Methodist Church. This place of education, fellowship, recreation, and administration would not have been built without his gifts.
Shariar cited a Persian parable about a walnut tree when he explained his commitment: A man was planting a walnut seedling and a passerby ridiculed the man because the tree would not bear nuts during...
