Funeral Service Broadcast for Sharon "Lynn" Harris


Sharon “Lynn” Miles Harris, 86, passed away June, 6, 2025 in Lexington, KY. Born in Batesville, GA, Lynn was the daughter of the late Hubert Avery Miles and Clara Bell Benfield Miles-Burrell. 


Including her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Moris (Frank) and Shelby Rogers, and a sister-in-law Barbara Miles. 


Lynn was a devout Christian, who fiercely loved her family. She was the “Queen of Christmas”, because she always wanted the time her family was together to be special. Lynn was an avid reader, loving science fiction and fantasy. One of her favorite series was Lord of the Rings. She was very creative. She was a seamstress, gardener, and crocheter, who was described as crocheting in her sleep. 


She is survived by her four children, Sharon (Dave) Sutherland of Lawrenceburg, K. Perry (Kim) Caudell of Frankfort, Shannon (Jennifer) Harris of Salvisa, and Patrick Harris of Lawrenceburg; three brothers, Billy (Reba) Miles, Eddie Miles, and Gary Miles, all of GA; six grandchildren, Dr. Brittany L. (Molly) Sutherland of Springfield, VA, G. Cody (Brittany H.) Sutherland, of Murray, KY, Abby (Dallas) Guidry of Slidell, LA, Ashleigh Caudell of Broomfield, CO, Finch Harris of Salvisa, KY, and Odin Harris; two great grandchildren, Carl Asher Guidry and Samuel D. Guidry; her beloved dog, Dude, and many nieces and nephews. 


Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2025, followed by service at 12:00 PM at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY 40342. Pastor Brittany Sutherland will be officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrenceburg Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, KY.
