As difficult as it is to say goodbye to a loved one you have known you entire life, I pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort you in your grief.

My heart is with Carl, Vanessa and the rest of the family.
Sharon taught me to take myself more seriously as an artist, to move from the fringes closer to the center - closer to people. She also showed my what an arts advocate looks like and to stand up for what I believe in.

Vanessa,
It's difficult to say good bye to our mothers. It can become more difficult to keep their legacy alive. Your mother's accomplishments and contributions to our community will help everyone remember her and her legacy! Her obituary is such a beautiful tribute to her and your entire family. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Sharon will live in my heart forever. She curated an exhibit of my work in Minnesota in my first years exhibiting my sculpture, and later brought an exhibit of my sculpture to Las Cruces. Always supportive, encouraging and a smiling can do spirit, she was always a role model of reason and graciousness in her relations with people. She will continue to be a role model in my life.
