Sharon Connell-Rick, 44, died unexpectedly May 31, 2015 in her home.
Born July 31, 1970, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Joseph T. and Kathryn A. Connell (Lahann), she grew up in the Cedar Rapids area and graduated from John Marshal High School in Rochester, MN. She relished swimming, camping, volleyball, basketball, and playing French horn. Sharon earned her bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and her master's degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and received her certification as a senior professional in Human Resources in 2002. She was senior vice president of human resources at TMI Hospitality Group. Prior to joining TMI Hospitality, she was vice president of human resources for Essentia Health in the west region. She has also worked as the labor relations manager and corporate human resources manager of the American Crystal Sugar Company
On August 29, 1998 she married Mark Bueling. Born to this union were son Zachary and daughter Abigail. Later she married Lance Rick. Sharon's unwavering dedication and pride in her children's many accomplishments were continuous. Whether it be cheering Zack on at ND State Swimming meets or rooting for Abby in Stem Competitions -- her support and love for her children were endless. She will continue to watch over them in their many successes to come. Friends and family will remember and treasure Sharon's spirit and spunk, her boundless energy and enthusiasm, and being the eternal teaser. She treasured motherhood and loved intensely.
Survivors include her father and step-mother, Joseph T. & Janice K. Connell of Stewartville, MN, son, Zachary Bueling and daughter, Abigail Bueling of West Fargo, two brothers, Kenneth J. Connell (Shannon) of Sandstone, MN, James K. Connell (Sara) of Shakopee, MN, two sisters Carolyn J. (John) Heidal of Shakopee, MN, Julia K. Kopf (Greg) of Cheyenne, WY. She is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews: Taylor and Chandler Connell, Eric and Lindsey Heidal, Riley and Aiden Connell, along with countless friends and extended family.
Preceding her in death was her mother, Kathryn A. Connell, and her grandparents Francis and Margery Connell, and Lowell and Ruth Lahann.

Visitation Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 9 AM until 11 AM at the church.
Funeral: Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11 AM at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church.
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery South, Fargo.
