Dear Rick and Alex,
I was sad to learn of your mom's passing. I hope that the wonderful memories you have of her will help you deal with the ache of missing her. It is not fair to lose your mom at such a young age. I enjoyed seeing her at Gombert helping cross the students and supervising recess at lunch time. She loved to talk about your family trips to the U.P.! I am glad that I got to know her as she helped us at Gombert. She will be missed by many people.

How do I begin to say how much you meant to me? I don't think you knew just how much of an inspiration you were to the rest of the family. Your caring, devotion, stubborness, and quirky sense of humor will be missed more than you could ever imagine. I know that you are in a better place with Mom and Dad, and that's what makes this somewhat bareable. You know that I will always love you and will miss you very much. I thank God everyday that He gave me you as a sister.
