Wichmann Funeral Home - Downtown Appleton Obituary

A special, loving lady born on February 28, 1943, to Matt and Valesca (Stommel) Hopfensperger got her final prayer answered on October 28, 2016. Dealing with the ups and downs of cancer, she succumbed to her illness with very little notice. Her wish was to be in the comfort of her home to the...

Not sure what to say?

Sharon and I worked together at Theda Clark. This summer I ran into her buying yarn and she told me about her health issues. Yet there she was getting yarn to "stay busy". It was nice to see her and recall memories of working together at the hospital. Sharon was always very professional and easy going. My sympathy to all of you.

I just want to let you know you have my sympathy. Sharon was so kind to me when I got to meet her by doing epoxy flooring work for her. Each day we talked about our lives before I started working .She was so easy going, It made my work fun when you get to meet people like her. I will always remember Sharon. TomW.

Though I did not know auntie personally, I felt like I did because I would have baked goods delivered to me that were made by her. I knew they were made with love. I thought, "of all of the other things she could choose to do but she chose to make this for me?!". She was so very thoughtful even though she had medical things she was going through. How selfless. I want to be a thoughtful, generous, loving woman like that. My thoughts and prayers are with this family. Many blessings to you all.

To all who loved Sharon, God is giving her a great reward for life well lived. I am sorry I am unable to attend her funeral services. I also grew up in Darboy and knew the Hopfensperger Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sister Paulette Hupfauf

Sharon, the Lord will enjoy those cookies as much as Ted and I did, our times shopping, rummage saling and all the times we just visited, and had a cup of tea together. The special hugs will be missed by me. Hugs sent to the hereafter, hope you get them. Love Joyce and Ted

We were neighbors of Sharon and she will be greatly missed. Adam would snow blow her driveway at times and in return she would bake us her wonderful treats! Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

May your closeness to God bless you greatly !

I am going to miss her. She enjoyed bringing cookies, cakes to my brothers. She even brought me some yarn. So that I could crochet and make her a scarf. I wish I could be there but I am on vacation with my husband and daughter. You have my sympathy.
