Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Husak, Sharon (nee Lynch), called home to heaven on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the age of 65.

Beloved wife of forty years to Tom Husak; mother of Corey, Marty (Emma), Trent (Ann), and Kyle (Shannon) Husak; Dee Dee to Ambrose, Callum, Teresa, and Tommy; sister of Susan (Jim) Lynch; daughter of Duane and Marilyn Lynch; dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Sharon grew up in Wapello, Iowa, surrounded by family and loved ones. Her family history there would hold a special place in her heart for her entire life. Her relationships were the most important things in her life. She and Tom met in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and moved to Oklahoma and Tennessee before finally settling in Missouri to raise their family. Sharon led a broad and rich life, and traveled to every state (except Alaska) plus numerous foreign countries. These trips built personal and family memories from her childhood to this year, and enriched her connections with her sometimes far-flung children, sister, friends, and parents. Her favorite thing was hosting gatherings for her loved ones, and she also enjoyed playing games, her basenji dogs, biking, and laughing. She will be remembered most for her bottomless, unending capacity to care for others. She spent the final weeks of her years-long battle with cancer the way she spent her life, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Services: Funeral Mass at Holy Infant Catholic Church, Ballwin, Thursday, October 9, 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Bi-State Pet Pantry or BRAT. Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Wednesday, October 8, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Not sure what to say?

My husband & I only knew Sharon & Tom from the wedding festivities of their son, Kyle, to our granddaughter, Shannon. After reading about her life, I could tell I would have enjoyed knowing her much better. Our hearts go out to Tom, and to ALL the family in their great loss!

Being best friends to Sharon's older sister growing up in Wapello, I remember Sharon's quiet and friendly smile the most. Much love and sympathy to Sharon's family and friends. Sharon's life was cut way too short and I know the memories she leaves behind will be a comfort to those who feel her loss the deepest.

So sorry for this great loss. Sharon was a very special lady, and your family’s closeness and devotion to her and each other is a beautiful legacy. Sharon warmly welcomed my daughter, Shannon as a new Husak (Kyle’s wife) and was such a loving grandmother to their baby daughter, Teresa. I’m so grateful. God’s peace and comfort to Tom and all the family.

Our condolences to cousin Tom and the family at this sad time.

Enjoyed Sharon and family on an overnight Ragbrai
bike ride! years previous. Fun family.

Sorry for the lost of family. My condolences carry to y’all.
We may not be able to be there in person, but will be thinking of y’all - Annette, Jody & myself will be here if you guys need anything.

Always friendly and fun, enjoyed her love.

So sad to hear that a classmate has passed, and had to battle cancer. R.I.P. Sharon

Sharon was a classmate her kind and considerate manner left a lasting impression on all of us. May her family and friends find comfort in sharing fond memories and in knowing all the lives she touched.
