Not sure what to say?

My husband Ray Bowes and I have both had the pleasure of working directly with Sharon. Ray worked with her at Vancouver Airport and I worked with her at CIC Settlement. Sharon was a thoughtful, dedicated and extremely competent Border Services Officer. Her professionalism benefitted everyone around her. Sharon was also a kind and courageous spirit who genuinely cared about all the people she came into contact with. Her passing leaves Ray and I deeply saddened for her, for her family and...

I recall with great fondness the times spent working with Sharon at the Douglas border crossing. Our office shared in her joy of the expectation of the birth of her first child. Her laughter, her smile, and the twinkle in her eyes were infectious. Years later, in meeting her at the Airport, I discovered she had not changed. Sharon was always the first to ask about others. How were you doing, how was your family? It was evident she truly cared for people. Sharon's lovely memories will live on...

Although we did not know Sharon personally, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to her family, and specifically our teammates, her sister Janet and her daughter Kim. May loving memories sustain you in your time of grief.

I worked with Sharon for Citizenship and Immigration Canada for many years at Vancouver International Airport. I have fond memories of Sharon over those years. A thing that stands out for me about Sharon is that I could always have a really good conversation with her about work – whether we agreed with each other or not, we could always be reasonable. I always knew that where Sharon was coming from was a good place – a place that understood that the job of applying the law needs to be done...

With our deepest sympathy, loving memories live on forever. We are sadden to hear of your loss, may Sharon's memories give you strength as her spirit lives in our hearts forever. She will be forever missed. "Even in your sadness, we hope you can hold on to the thought that a life lived with so much love never really ends, but goes on forever in the hearts of those who remember." Our thoughts and prayers are with you Gary and family.
