As I read about Sharon in UM Nursing's Alum magazine, I am filled with sadness and joy. I am so sad that this genuine angel is no longer physically here with us. I am joyous for the gift of Sharon to so many and I am honored to have been one of the recipients. I worked with Sharon at SAH and we shared professional as well as personal lives. It was with sadness that I learned of Sharon's recent death this past week. I have kept her and all of you in my prayers and offered a Mass in Sharon's memory on Wednesday, March 13th.

May all of you be consoled both by the goodness of Sharon's life and the joy and hope she gave to all whom she met, and even more by the knowledge that Jesus the Good Shepherd who has held her in his arms...

I had the very good fortune and pleasure of being in numerous classes with Sharon throughout high school and have such warm, fond memories of her. Heaven's gain of very special angel is indeed the Earth's loss. My sincerest condolences to the Compton and LaFever families.
