Not sure what to say?

Sharon was a distinguished leader in family & consumer science field of study. I fondly remember the many years she dedicated herself to IFHE development fund though the cultural events at AAFCS annual conference -IFHE events. Truly an international professional! She will be missed in our FCS/IFHE families. I felt honored she asked me to share her table of guests at her DSA /AAFCS award presentation. She was a special person of grace, kindness, and thoughtfulness. May she rest in the...

Susan, I was so sorry to hear of your mother's illness and subsequent death from Ruth Ann. I so enjoyed knowing her when she lived in Bowling Green and an active participant in Trinity United Methodist Church. My sympathies go out to both you and to Dick at this time.

Aunt Sharon, we will miss you and your great Christmas letters. You lead such an active, wonderful life both professionally and personally, that all who loved you were both proud and and amazed. Yours was literally a life was well led. Sympathy and love to Susan.
Tim and Anne McManus

I will always treasure our friendship and wonderful adventures together to different parts of the world. Sharon, who was so kind and compassionate appreciated people's different points of view, especially mine. I was quite fortunate to have Sharon in my life and I will miss her a great deal. The AAFCS annual meetings and IFHE Council and Congress won't be the same without her.

Susan and family - We are so very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Sharon and I and many other Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana FCS professionals met many times to plan a conference which was held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in the summer of 2000. The Tri-State 2000 Conference was a great success, and we on the committee became good friends over the two-year planning process. From then on, we enjoyed seeing each other at annual AAFCS conferences. Sharon was a positive, dedicated leader in...

Sharon was a friend and mentor to many in the profession. I will always remember her dedication to raising funds for professional projects in less developed countries through IFHE. Traveling with her to various countries was a pleasure. She will be missed for her friendship, welcoming manner, and joy of life. She made a difference in my life and to many others in our world.

Sharon was a pillar in the family & consumer sciences profession. No matter what the issue, Sharon's positivity provided a light for many. I always loved participating in events and committees that she managed. Her loss is deeply mourned in the profession, but her legacy will be enduring.
May all those who loved Sharon be comforted by Christ.

So very sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. She was a special, loving person, dedicated to her profession, her friends and family. She was a strong leader in our family and consumer sciences profession. She will be missed by many and those who loved her and many friends in the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences I grew up in Michigan, near Lake Michigan just South of where she was from. My deepest sympathy to her family.

To Sharon's family, Sharon was an exemplary person, always a positive force, and an amazing role model/cheer leader for those of us in the field of Family & Consumer Sciences. Sharon holds a special place in my heart! Blessings for a life well-lived! Janine Duncan, colleague, Manhattan, KS
