Not sure what to say?

Sharon was a sweet lady who always was smiling when I saw her at the nursing home. Her daughter, Beth is my good friend and our mothers were both living at Hearthstone Nursing home. I saw Sharon often. When she became ill, I went to the hospital to visit. Sharon was so blessed by her daughters, Beth and Amy. They stayed at her side telling her funny stories and speaking words of love. Beth never left her side. Sharon raised great daughers.

Sharon was such a gracious and gentle woman. I remember when she and Henry and the kids stayed with us in Aurora. I was so amazed at how efficient she was and how she seemed to just take everything in stride. She was always so good to me and I used to love laughing and reminiscing with her when we would pass through Birmingham at Easter time. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

At the visitation and funeral in Birmingham is was kind of like a celebration of Sharon's life. Even some of her high school friends came to visit and reminisce with family and friends. All came to celebrate her life. This week has been a little harder because the reality sets in and because so many memories are there and flash back. Some memories are very good and some are not. I am so glad that she is not in pain any more. I think she held on until Good Friday as a sign to let us know...

Pleasant memories of brief time when Henry and Sharon and their 2 young sons lived in Charlotte,N.C. in the early 1960's.

I am missing Sharon on my visits to the nursing home. She will always be remembered. God bless her and her family.

Sharon will be missed by the volunteers at Saint William Nursing Home Ministry. Some of my most grace filled moments were spent bringing her communion on Sunday mornings. A mass will be said for Sharon on May 30th at 6:30 AM at Saint William Catholic Church.
