Not sure what to say?

Shaun, you are truly missed! Pray for your young family!

Tomorrow will mark two incredibly sad years since our friend Shaun was taken away from us all. It feels like no time has passed. It still hurts so much and feels so cruel and unjust. We are so lucky to have so many happy memories, so many funny conversations to recall and so many good times shared. We remember him often and always.

I read of the passing of Dr Summers in the College of Physicians magazine. Although I never met him it is cleear to me from the tributes here and from the photograph of him in the magazine, that he was a truly kind and caring Doctor. He has left a reputation that will live forever, of which his family should be very proud. We need Doctors like Shaun and it is a great tragedy that he has left his patients, family and friends. I feel privileged to have read of his very special qualities and...

I have only recently learned about Shaun's tragic and untimely death. He was a warm, intelligent and inspiring person and will be missed from the world of nephrological research. I only met him a few times, but feel that I have lost a friend and kindred spirit.

Deepest Sympathy to Dr. Summers family and friends. Dr. Summers was such a caring and inspiring person. I dedicate much of my recovery to him. I was so sad to hear of his sudden passing. RIP.

Shaun was an amazing consultant to work under. He was enthusiastic, passionate and an all round great guy! He was inspirational to many of us junior doctors. was truly shocked to learn the news of his passing. My condolences to all his freinds and family. RIP

Shaun - we went to KES together and unfortunately never crossed path often enough since being in different countries since graduating. You were an inspiration all through school - I remember in particular your gift in public speaking where you wrote all our speeches 5 mins before we went on. You are a giant of a man in both stature and personality. My sincere condolences to your family. You will be sorely missed God Bless

Very shocked and saddened to hear this news.I have worked as his registrar and always remembered his brightness and kindness.May God give his family strength in this difficult time.

What a dreadful shock to hear of Shaun's passing. The gentle giant with a heart of gold - so respectful; so friendly; so dedicated; so dearly admired and loved. My sincere condolences to all on Level 5 MMC and especially to Shaun's beautiful family. Rest in peace dear Shaun, Mary Bell (former work colleague)
