MIDLAND Shauntay Marie Rose Canava, 22, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, from an automobile accident. She was born in Odessa, Texas, on April 19, 1991, to Colin David Rose and Tammy Marie Newell. Shauntay was raised and educated in Odessa, graduating from Permian High School in 2009. She met and later married the love of her life, Frank Campa Canava on May 24, 2013. The couple settled in Midland. At the time of her death, Shauntay was currently working for the Bear Claw Knife and Shear Store.
Shauntay was an amazing woman that one couldn't help but to fall in love with. Everywhere she went she had friends and made new ones. She was a loving, caring, nurturing mother and a wonderful wife; truly one of a kind. Thank you, Shauntay, for taking a part of each of our lives and we will miss you dearly. You will always be in our hearts and in our memories.
Shauntay was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Maria Smith. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Campa Canava of Midland; her daughter, Dawn Marie Rose; her father, Colin David Rose; sisters, Shandra Rose, April Rose and Mryna Rose, all of Odessa, Texas. She is also survived by one niece, numerous cousins and a host of friends.
An evening service will be held tonight at 7:00 pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel, 2508 N. Big Spring St., Midland, TX 79705. Funeral service will take place Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 9:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2101 Tarleton St., Midland, TX. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
