The sad fallout from divorce is the distance it creates within families. I was very sorry to hear about Shawn, and saddened that I wasn't able to know him better. I wish peace for you and Shane as you work through this loss.

Chantel, our family only knew yours briefly as neighbors in MI - and seeing you a few years back with the Paces when we returned to the States. We were very saddened by this news. Shawn was a great guy. We are so very sorry for your loss.

I am so sad to hear of Shawn's untimely passing. I may have never known a better person. The year we lived together at UNI was fun, and I really enjoyed getting to know Shawn as a friend along with Sallie and Carl. My thoughts are with you all.

Sallie, Shane, & family- I am so sorry to learn of Shawn's passing. I am in shock as dad called today. I just think of us all playing together as kids and going to school together. I have so much to say but not enough space here to express how I feel. God Bless you Shawn. You are going to be missed.

I am sadden to here of Shawn's passing we were raised together from the age of 3. We were close throughout the years but I moved to Texas our Freshman year of High School. I know he will be missed. I had not spoken to him since the day of my father's funeral 20 years ago in Marshalltown. I am very deeply hurt and sadden by his passing. We shared alot of things growing up. I loved you Shawn.
