JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME Obituary



Shawn Patrick Conner, 30, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident. Shawn was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.



 



Shawn was born to Michael “Mickey” P. Conner and Rhonda Langley Conner on March 28, 1988 at Women and Children’s Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.



 



He attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven School, Leesville Junior High, and was a 2006 graduate of Vinton High School. He attended McNeese State University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Shawn worked in sales and catering services and was recently employed by Lee-Dee Wholesale Distributing Company. He loved to cook and spend time with family and friends, mostly his brother and best friend, Ryan. He was an avid Saints fan and never met a stranger. He always greeted everyone with a hug and his contagious smile.



 



He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael L. and Gloria Conner and Harvey and Ruth Bourque Langley.



 



Those left to cherish his memory are his new wife of 4 days, Ashley Menard Conner; father, Mickey Conner; mother, Rhonda Langley Primm; brother, Michael Ryan Conner; uncles, Bobby Conner, Ronnie Langley and Kenneth Langley all of Lake Charles; uncle, Steve Conner of Houston, TX; aunt, Sylvia Cooper of Mansfield, LA; and a host of very special cousins, relatives, and friends.



 



Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.



 



In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Shawn’s name to the Kiwanis Club of South Lake Charles, P.O. Box 3091, Lake Charles, LA 70602.

Shawn, I met you from working with Priest a few yrs ago and we worked at AAR together. I have a great picture of us hugging goodbye at the wedding last Saturday. You will be missed brother. Rest easy........

I met shawn when i started at Golden Nugget he was very helpful and friendly and like a little brother. We laughed and talked about syfy movies. Shawn was just an all-around good egg. And I shall truly miss his smiling face. Be at Peace brother. You're safe in the Arms of Yeshua/Jesus.

Curtiss and I are truly sorry for your loss. There aren't many words that will help ease your grief but please know we are all here for you and your family, sending prayers and comforting thoughts. I apologize in advance but Curtiss and I are out pf town this weekend and won't be able to make it to the funeral home, but please know tgat our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
