Dear Shawn, I know that you are now happy in the arms of your mother. Your mom left us in the presence of me, Melissa, and your unseen nieces and nephew on December 18, 2023. Many tears were shed by us all. Your mom suffered terribly near the end. Through the grace of God her suffering was mercifully terminated. She talked of her love for you constantly. She missed you terribly. Now you and your mom are cradled in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Till we all meet again, Dad.

I remember taking you on patrol with me at the Guadalupe Police Department. Your father and I spent so many hours together on patrol, I though you were destined to wear blue.

My heart still hurts for your family. I think of you often and can't believe that it'll be 12 years next Sunday that you were taken.

You hold a place of Honor in our minds and hearts. May you Rest In Peace!
