Shawn Allen Huffman

Shawn Allen Huffman Shawn Allen Huffman, age 36, of Spotsylvania, died on July 18, 2010, at his home. Known to his family as "Willow" and to his friends as "Shorty", Shawn was one who knew no strangers.

He gave of himself so much and sometimes according to family, to his own detriment. Shawn just loved people and loved to put a smile on their face. With a great sense of humor as well as being a guitarist since age 13, it wasn't hard for him to accomplish that task. Shawn enjoyed being with his kids and showing them all the love he could. He was an avid fisherman and loved to be around animals, as well. A most recent quote by him truly explains Shawn's character; "Do you remember when Ronald Reagan was our President and we had Bob Hope and Johnny Cash? Now we have Obama and no Hope and no Cash." He was his mother's Sacred Treasure and will be missed by very many people.

Shawn is preceded in death by his grandparents, John F. and Betti Jene Huffman and Adam and Florence Isabelle Sarapa and Father, John A. Huffman. He is survived by his mother, Opal Jordan-Horiagon; 2 step-fathers, Stephen Jordan and William Horiagon; three children, Destiny, Jacob and Joey Huffman; siblings, Stephen Jordan and his wife, Kristina, Jamie Bonner and her husband, Sean, Amelia Garcia, Kyle Huffman, Donovan Jordan and Seth Jordan; girlfriend, Crystal Hunley; a special uncle, Paul Sarapa; surrogate Mom, Amelia Hess and two grandmothers, Mary Kamrath and Eleanor Horiagon.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Calvary Chapel, 228 Louisa Ave., Mineral, VA 23117 on Saturday, July 24 from 12 to 2 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to
