Not sure what to say?

To my dearest friend, Shawn. I am going to miss the weekly breakfasts at the Waffle Shop. We took our time and enjoyed every minute of it. I was so sad when I had to move to Utah and would not have my best friend to fall back on, when things were tough. I am not worried about you...I know you are on your journey to our Heavenly Father. You will Be with your family and friends and live on forever. There will always be a whole in my heart because I have lost a very special brother. I...

Shawn, my friend, you've taught me so many lessons...on and off the field...if life, and now, sadly, in your passing. You will be in my heart forever.

Thank you, Shawn for the good conversation, encouragement, and enthusiasm you showed on the field. I always enjoyed your games. Peace on your journey, you've done so well, my friend.

I am deeply saddened, not even sure where to start. Although it has been around 2 years since I lost contact with Shawn I wondered how he was doing and how to get in touch with him, I feel so bad that I hadn't. I met Shawn while working at a coffee shop across the street from where he was living. We soon became friends and had a lot of laughter filled conversations due to our unpolitical and sometimes tactless senses of humor. Oh but it was funny! Shawn was such a sweet person with a kind...

Shawn started out to be good friends with my sister in high school. But, it wasn't long before he befriended me too, which made me feel real special. I was the younger sister whom most of my sister's other friends didn't want to have around at the time. But Shawn always took an interest in me and my life. He said that he was the "big brother" I never had and Darla and I were his little sisters. He loved to talk about bowling. He even took me bowling when I was 14 so he could show me the...

I was in shock to see my friend passed away. I met Shawn when we both attended Modesto Junior College and took Biology together were we became friends. He umpired at Rainbows Fields and he help me get a job there in the consession stand. I lost touch with him after I moved to Idaho but, I have never forgotten how he help me when I needed to work. I give my deepest condolences to his family, he was loved by so many people and had his own fans.

Shawn, may you rest in peace. Shawn was one of the kindest people anyone could ever meet and had a heart as big as the world. I was fortunate enough to meet Shawn through softball and as a fomer director of the NSA women's program I could always count on him. He worked for me at several tournaments and always.....was kind and considerate never a mean word for anyone. We really didn't get to tell him how much we appreciated him enough. Our prayers are with his family, co-workers and friends at...

To the entire family, I am so sorry to hear of Shawn's passing. I have so many great memories of the Mc Hale family from the first time they came to Modesto Bowl, to making Santa's from old bowling pins with Barbara. Shawn and my children all grew up together, bowling, picnics, and ball games. Shawn you will be missed.
