Shawn Robert Newlin

I was so touched by reading all of the messages left for those Shawn left behind. He was so many things to so many people. I regret that I had not seen him in years. I remember him in the GT youth group..always making us laugh. He was an awesome man of God..and now he is sitting up in Heaven watching over all of us. It doesn't seem fair that he was taken so soon, and even though we can't understand with our human minds why, God knows and we have to trust him in that. We will see him again one...

Dearest Shawn~
I went to see you today...I placed flowers at your head...the pain and sadness I felt was overwhelming...I can't believe you are gone. I think you felt our sorrow today, it poured and I couldn't help but think that you were crying too. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. You will always be missed, always be loved. Nate, Pat and Michelle I love you! My heart has been broken along with yours...please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily...

I can't believe how fast this year has came and gone. It just don't feel right with you gone and I am still here. I never thought in a million years that I would be the only child so early in my life. I kinda miss you nagging me all the time like you always did. That was your way of telling me that you loved and care about me. I remember when me and chuck got in our accident you were one of the first ones there. I remember telling mom that I can't believe how fast you got there...

Our deepest condolences for the Newlin family. We hope you find comfort in knowing that Shawn meant so much to so many and will be sorely missed. Shawn will always be your Guardian Angel.

Dear Nephew,

Your life was always full of new and exciting things! You lived life to the fullest, and chased the things that you most wanted in life. We miss you, and will never understand why God chose to take you home, but know that you are in a better place. We will all see you again someday - and what a great reunion it will be! Dear Nate, Pat, Michelle, Laura, and Abby,
