Not sure what to say?

Not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind. The great memories, the thoughts of what could have been, and where we would be now. You are forever in my heart. I love you and can't wait to be together again.

To the O'Connell Family

I am truly sorry for your loss. Shawn was a true Alaskan, and outdoorsman. I had the privilige to work with him at the Court House. He always smiled made you laugh and told you what he thought. I will will miss him! My prayers go out to your family.
God Bless.

To the O’Connell Family:
My deepest sympathies go out to your family and to the people that loved him. Shawn was a straight shooter and told you how it was. He was a great friend and teacher and avid outdoorsman’s.
My twin brother and his son were visiting from up-state New York. My nephew at the time had never seen a moose in his life. It happened to be moose season and Shawn took time to take us out on a hunt. Needless to say I was robbed of my moose when a criminal shot my...

I had the opportunity to know and supervise Shawn for only two short months while he served as an investigator for the Alaska Public Defender Agency. In that time, I saw that Shawn was a young man strong beyond his years. He was a man that lived by a code and was comfortable with himself and his values. His passing is a great loss to us all. My thoughts and prayers are with all of us who were touched by Shawn O'Connell's life and the way that he lived his life.

Dear O'Connell Family,
I am truly sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Shawn for over two years at the Federal building in Anchorage. Shawn was always friendly and a great person to talk to. He made us all laugh. His love for the outdoors was obvious and he enjoyed life. Shawn was a great person to know and I will miss him.

Take Care,

As anyone knows who works for a state agency, the hiring process is lengthy and difficult. It took months of interviews and meetings to finally hire Shawn as an investigator for our office. Although he only worked with us for a short time, not one day went by that Shawn didn't prove to us that it was all worth it and we'd made the right decision. His compassion for our clients and dedication to the job are an example for all of us at the Public Defender Agency and he will be impossible to...

This black bear ate our chickens and rooster. He was delicious!

To the man of my dreams:
Seeing you hunting is a fascinating sight. The excitement in your face and voice shows your true passion for the outdoors. You are the most incredible man I have ever known, and am thankful for the time we had together. You're intelligent, honest, caring, funny, and extremely loyal to your friends and family. You will remain in my heart giving me the encouragement that you always did while we were together.
I love you Shawn!
Lory
