I am so deeply saddened and grieved to hear of the loss of our beloved Shawn. During my two years at IBC, I was blessed to know Shawn as a friend and collaborator in both ministry and music. Passed Sunday, November 15, 2015. Shawn was born January 13, 1984, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Mark D. Osborne and Krista M. Osborne. Shawn was employed with the University of Michigan Hospital. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Theology in 2007 from Indiana Bible College, Indianapolis, Indiana. Shawn was an inspiration to everyone he encountered by his willingness to serve others. He will always be remembered for his devotion to his Church and Community through his ministry, music and volunteerism. Survivors besides his mother and father include one sister, Kara Osborne; one brother, Forrest Osborne; maternal grandparents: Patricia and Joseph Forrester of Saline, Michigan; paternal grandmother, Bonnie Osborne of Hyden, Kentucky; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 20, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at Janowiak Funeral Home with Revs. Kevin and Rise Thew-Forrester officiating. Contributions in Shawn's memory may be made to the National Association for the Mentally Ill (N.A.M.I.). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:30 p.m. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
