Shawn P. Scanlon, 30, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully Monday, April 27, 2015. Born in Providence, he was the son of Albert and Janice (Normandin) Scanlon. Shawn was a 2003 graduate of Tolman High School where he played hockey. He worked for the city of Pawtucket for 12 years where he was a member of Local #1012 and he later worked for Waste Management. Shawn was known as a very loyal person to his family and friends.
Besides his parents he is survived by his sister, Kerri Ulrich and her husband Jason of Minnesota; his maternal grandmother, Lucille Baten and step grandfather Harold Baten; two nieces, Kassie and Ani Ulrich, and his long time companion, Jennifer Reyes.
Relatives and friends are invited to a committal service Saturday at 11:00am in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, 661 Prospect Street, Pawtucket. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm in the Costigan-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Shawn.

I remember Shawn when he attend the Pawtucket Family YMCA for child care he was a very sweet young man my son and him grew close it was heartbreaking to hear of his loss my heart goes out to mom and dad may our angel Shawn rest in peace always

I remember Shawn from THS he was a grade a head of me he was a nice person and will be miss by all that know him. RIP Shawn we all know you will be watch over ever one. I see so may friends and people I know from THS pass a way its just to sad. From class of 2004.
