Not sure what to say?

Today is September 2023 I am 23 years old. On June 29, 2008 at the age of 8 I remember grandma getting that call it was a Sunday and it was after church. That was my first time experiencing death. Maybe a couple weeks before that Georgie and I got the opportunity to come to NC to spend some time with you, auntie, Justin and Erin! That week was by far on of the greatest weeks from my childhood. Hola mi Hermano. I'm here sitting in front of Red Robin and thought of the red empire. Red Robin, red empire go figure. Miss running Sontay rd trails, talking dirt while eating breakfast, pushing our buttons from across the hallway in the company. Back in the old days, good times. Abraso, mi Hermano!

Thinking of you today, my darling son.

Un gran Abraso mi Hermano, never forgotten.

Shawn, I've never been the type to post an entry like this online. Today I saw someone that reminded me of you - enough that I had to stop and take a second look.
I'll never forget the night we lost you along with our other brothers, nor the meal at the table just before you headed out that evening. Your strength and confidence is what I'll always remember.
Until we meet again.

We will always remember.

On the recent anniversary of his passing, I paused in memory and honor of M
SG Simmons and remember that he was the epitome of an American soldier. His memory will live on.
