Shawn and I were good friends in 7th and 8th grade at Thomas Johnson Jr. High in Frederick,MD,where they wore jean jackets.Shawn and I had the same musical and comic taste.I remember being in the Smith basement and watching late night:Second City TV,bad B movies,and Saturday Night Live.He was very smart and creative,even making his own comic books,Shawn's version of MAD magazine.It was a long bike ride from where I lived,near Hood College,to Shawn's house.I moved to Texas.
