Shay Schembri

Dearest Laurie & family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I happened to be visiting Neptune & saw the message on the soccer board on Rt. 33. I hope it's comforting to remember all the amazing things that Shay brought to your lives. Although it's been years, I can happily say that I am very lucky to have known him. I can only imagine what you are going thru, but know that you are in my thoughts & hoping that time will heal your wounds.

Spencer and I just learned of Shay's passing. We are truly saddened and wanted you to know we are thinking of you all. We will never forget all the fun times playing soccer. May you all find comfort and peace.

My deepest condolences to the family of Shay Schembri. This was a shock to me. He just volunteered at MURC's garden clean up in April and told me to call on him if I needed any more help. It was followed by his warm smile and a hand shake. He was truly a great guy and will be missed by many.

Through the years classmates may have lost touch but our memories never faded.... when Shay smiled everyone smiled, whether it was a memory from years past or something you just shared days ago. May he rest in peace like he lived making Neptune Township a better place for all. Many days and night we shared as members of committees. They say in my faith when our lord needs the sunshine with him he calls out to the earth to send someone who understands the beauty, and if anyone knew how to make a garden of eve it was our friend Shay. To his family, he is with many greats who have gone before and we will see each again. May his memory and his work help you through this time.
