Not sure what to say?

I randomly searched for Sheila's name today as I was reminiscing about people I worked with over the years, and was sad to see that she had passed. I worked with her at the Volunteer Center in Napa from 1981-1983. I was hired as the receptionist and it was my first "real" job. Sheila was warm and funny and so welcoming, and I could always count on her to make me laugh. She nicknamed me "peach pit"--I don't have any idea where that came from, but it stuck. Sheila was so passionate about...

Mr. Daugherty, Eugene and Matt, I was so sorry to hear of your recent loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Sheila was such a great woman and I will always cherish the memories of her when I I was younger. We are all better people having known her. Blessings, Jon

A beautiful light has been extinguished in Napa. Unfortunately, her experience and determination was never more needed than now. I/we could never say no to her requests for assistance for HER kids, hundreds of them and I am blessed to have had the ability to consistently say "yes, Sheila" Blessings to my old pal Louis, her sons and grandkids You have much to be proud of, Sheila really made a difference

Dear Louis, I am devastated to see this today. I absolutely adored Sheila, I think you probably know. The last time I talked to her we were to have lunch together to catch up sometime last year when people could have lunch together, and I called her from the restaurant to ask where she was and she'd forgotten our date so I said just call me for another time, I miss you. That was it, but I never guessed it would be our last conversation. We had such a great time together looking at properties...

I first knew Sheila when our children, Eugene and Michelle were in the same class at Mt. George and we helped with the Mother's Club. Over the years since I have seen her many times in her various volunteer activities. What a great, kind woman she was. May your many happy memories bring you comfort.

To a beautiful woman and great poker comrade, we all miss you. A guiding light for those of us that sought to make the Napa community a better place. Your energy was amazing. Rest with angels.

Sheila was a very unique and special person, her contributions to Napa significant and numerous. Sheila did not suffer fools well, including on occasion this writer. However, her loyalty, dedication and commitment to justice was unshakable. I will miss her as someone who shared many journeys together, as a friend and colleague.

I think the world of Sheila and am grateful to have known her. Louis, Eugene and Matt you had a wonderful wife and mother. God bless you guys.

My condolences to her family. Sheila was impressive and dedicated to youth, and a wonderful example of humanity at its best. She will be missed.
