Shelia was my voice teacher in the late 70s. I was so very sorry to hear of her passing. She had a zest for life like no other, a will to inspire and teach. She called me her protege and I was very honored. My life took a different path but I did get to use my opera talents with the Northwest Choral Society in their Mozart Opera Night. Shelia would have been proud. Her warm and caring nature will always be remembered. Leaving her was one of my deepest regrets.

I write to express my sincere sympathy to all of Sheila Harm's family, friends, former and past students, and professional acquaintenances who are feeling her loss. Sheila was my next door neighbor on Crestover Dr. in Dallas for ten years. During those years, I grew to admire her remarkable musical talents, numerous professional accomplishments, and constant zest for life. I was deeply saddened to learn of Sheila's passing, and my heart goes out to her family and all those whose lives she touched. Yet my memories of Sheila are anything but sad. She was such a vivacious, strong-willed person, always keenly interested in the welfare of others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a zest for life that was infectious. I also remember the obvious fondness she and Werner had for one another - it was incredibly touching to see.
