Not sure what to say?

I was in school with Shiela at Shaw High. Her mother,Lela Loftus, was my Shaw High English teacher, and she was instrumental in getting me into Miami of Ohio university. From there my career began as a university professor. I wrote Shiela some years ago, a d we had a nice talk about her family. God rest her. . Mark Price

Hard to believe it´s been one year since your passing! We miss you like crazy. We should be planning when Jay is going to pick up your luggage at South Station, so you can go visit your niece. And then you will arrive in Hamilton at some ungodly hour. We will watch a movie, doze and then lie to each other about snoozing!! The weekend in Kennebunkport will be raucous. You set a record one year w/12 games!! Oh, how we would like a redo!! Food, champagne, lots of laughs and you and Jake sneaking...

It´s hard to believe it´s been a year from your passing , we hold you dearly in our hearts forever

That smile, THAT SMILE! THAT SMILE. It hasn't changed in ---- 62 YEARS! Loved that smile. Still do. Kevin Smith

Shiela had the unique ability to make a person (like me) feel smarter and more significant than I thought of myself. An endearing character trait.

I grew up a few houses away. We played together and hunted 4-leaf clovers. I never could find one, and she'd have a handful! Attended Shaw in her brother Kevin's class and studied English with her mother, Lela.

Sheila Loftus helped me see that doing the right thing was a choice available to me regardless of circumstance. Freshly out of college, I found myself thrust into the family business. Sheila coached and insisted my participation in WMABA, providing me (and many others) mentorship that guided me to play a role in the direction of our industry. I am forever grateful to her and in her debt for the role she played in propelling my professional life.

I started in the auto body industry in the late 70's, meeting Shelia was memorable and many times seeing her and interviews for articles. She made an impact and always had my respect. May God surround her and her family in these moments. You will never be forgotten. Be Blessed.

What a wonderful lady! Sheila and Tom lived across the street from our family on Rosemont Road in East Cleveland until they moved to DC. I had both of her parents as teachers at Shaw High. My brother Joe was a classmate of Sheila, and Mike was a classmate of Kevin. I will let them know this sad news. My condolences to her family - what a lady!
