Sheila Elizabeth Schuster passed away Sunday, October 14, three days shy of her 49th birthday. Sheila was diagnosed with stage four non-hodgkins mantle cell lymphoma in 1997. Her theory was if 98% of the people die from this, someone has to be in the 2%. And that's exactly what she did for ten...

Not sure what to say?

To Sheila's Family and Friends. I have not seen Sheila for many years, but will never forget one of the best times of my life. We shared the experience of being in the school play "Hello, Dolly" together. Sheila with her red hair, in that bright red dress, and singing at the top of her lungs will be forever etched in my mind. Sheila was a great friend in school and although we have lost touch she will always be remembered. Love and God Bless to all of the lives she has touched.

To the family of Sheila Schuster (Johnson). I was a classmate and fellow cheerleader with Sheila. We shared many good times in High School but lost contact. She will be missed. I send our deepest sympathies to her family. God Bless Karen, Tom and Jessi Kealy

Doug and Family: I too am a past classmate and friend of Sheila at Lewis Central. Her energy and cheerful spirit defined her then and it sounds as though she has carried those with her through her illness as well. My heart goes out to her young daughters -- may you find peace in the blessings of time you have already shared and the memories you will have forever.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To the Johnson Family: Even though I haven't seen Sheila since we both left LC for college, I still remember her light shining personality and her wonderful way with people. She only lived 30 minutes from me and I didn't even know she was so close. So sad to hear of her passing and I am certain that she is spreading her sparkling personality in Heaven. May God hold each of you in the palm of his hand through this time...

Doug,
I haven't seen you since college days, but my husband Doug and I saw Sheila every year for the past 10 years at the State Fair. (My husband graduated from Lewis Central with Sheila). We will miss her and always remember the fun times as R.A.'s together at Simpson. May God keep you and your family in His care.
Love,
Sue (Reeves) and Doug Durfee

It's been many years, but I remember what fun we had in the theatre dept. at Simpson College. When I think of Sheila, I have memories of a very vibrant, redhead that knew how to make you laugh. My deepest sympathies to Doug and his family.

SEJ, it seems like only yesterday we were arguing on stage. Even though we were miles apart and lost contact, the memories of LC, infamous drama escapades and silly conversations have always been with me. Whenever I hear "Stairway to Heaven" I always think about the times we talked. Until we talk again....
