Not sure what to say?

Sister Sheila, I still remember you attending my First Holy Communion and reception afterwards in 1963.

This may be a different signing from others.I knew Sister Sheila for 50 yrs.since I was 7yrs. old at the Epiphany Parish where she met my family. She attended my wedding & special family occasions. My mother Esmeralda Ramirez who passed on 5-26-2013 this year was one of her best friends. We comforted each other with the loss. Now you are in heaven with my mom rejoicing. I called Sister Sheila from out of the country in July to make sure she was ok.She called me much also. Even when my mother...

Sister Sheila you will always be in our thoughts and heart. So Happy that I was able to see you last summer.

Blessed and challenged to have worked with Sheila who was a force to be reckoned with.
She took her place with a cadre of visionary leaders who shaped a powerful force for social justice!
A torch has been passed and I pray others will courageously lead the work for justice!

I owe a debt of gratitude to the Sisters of Social Service. I love them all. It is no secret that Sr. Sheila could be challenging. Sr Sheila loved her life and so many in it. She inspired others to espouse her mission. Even when you didn't want to hear what she wanted, you listened and helped. She will be greatly missed. It is our assignment to keep JERICHO alive, not for Sister Sheila but for those for whom she dedicated her life.

Requiescat in pacem.
and perpetual light shine upon you.

It was amusing to watch legislators sometimes duck and take cover when they knew she was coming to see them on one of their bills that might impact those living in poverty. She was a force to not be taken lightly. She had a heart of gold, boundless energy and the tenacity of a pit bull. She will be greatly missed but has "earned" a place...

Here is a candle lite for Sheila. Our thoughts are with the family. Sheila will be missed.
