Roth-Gerst Chapel - Lowell Obituary

This will not be your typical obituary because Shelby Ann Tomczak Offrink was not your typical 31 year-old. She came into this world on February 6th 1984 as a fiery red head and hilarity quickly ensued. The world became much funnier as this turtle chasing, lobster catching toddler grew into a...

Not sure what to say?

Ben, as I sit here I think of you and the girls, the kids remind me of all the wonderful times we had, had with you and Shelby. We talk about you guys often. It's almost like you are still here. I remember how much Jackson was in love with Shelby. And how he would say, When I grow up I'm going to marry Ms. Shelby!! Words that will live on in our hearts forever. All the kids have a funny story to tell about our Mavers. Avery liked her play dates at the house. We send you our love from all of...

To Shelby's family,
Shelby was the girl that lit up the room, in our case at WMU, the flag football field! With her bright smile, contagious humor and genuine love, I pray her legacy shines as bright as she does and her love is always felt so deeply by her gorgeous girls. Ben, the biggest hug to you and all of our support to you.

Pink Panthers forever, Shelbs.
All my love, Nicole Franzen

Kathy- I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Kathy and Roger, we extend our heartfelt condolences to you and the families. There are no words to bring you comfort so please know you have all been in our thoughts and prayers! All I've read is evident Shelby was an exceptional person and will continue impacting many lives forevermore. God be with you! Deb and Art Metzger

It's so good to have such wonderful thoughts, prayers and memories of this beautiful woman - our hearts break for her family.

My heart goes out to the Tomczak and Offrink families. Shelby was an amazing lady and she fought a good fight. She will be missed.

Shelby,

The moment I met you, I knew we would get along great. You are such a hilarious person always filled with jokes and sarcastic optimism. I will miss you a lot and I am especially touched by the impact you left on my sister-in-law Archita and brother Dave's lives forever. I will never forget our Bollywood dancing sessions in India. May you rest peacefully forever.

I remember Shelby as the cutest little girl. I just loved to see her when our families got together when I was young. I'm so saddened to hear of her passing. My deepest sympathies are with the entire family.

Roger and Kathy, I am so, so sorry. What you and your family are going through is inconceivable. I'm sending a huge hug.
