Not sure what to say?

We knew and enjoyed Sheldon and Shirley during our long association in Korea. They both were a credit to Gulf Oil and we were proud to be their friends,

Anne and Barbara
I just heard about your Dad today and was very saddened by the news. I must tell you that i enjoyed seeing your Dad when I worked and the both of you on your visits to him...It's very difficult taking care of parent's at times, but I never saw that with either of you.
You both were always pleasant, funny and there for your Dad in whatever his needs were or just to visit. My thoughts are with you and your families and I know you will miss your Dad very deeply. My wish...

Bob, Anne, Dave, Barb and Sue. Terry and I are so glad to have been able to spend time with Uncle Sheldon this August. While we could tell that he was not his "Old Self" it was obvious that he really enjoyed getting back to his roots one more time. He enjoyed watching the kids fishing and visiting his church and seeing everyone spend time together.

I have many fond memories of your parents, I really liked visiting you, problem was my father always got lost! It is so difficult to...

EVEN THOUGH WE KNEW HIM AS HIS CAREGIVERS HE WAS A KIND AND GENTLE MAN. WE SEND OUR HEARTFELT SYMPATHY AND PRAYERS TO HIS FAMILY. ANOTHER ANGEL HAS HIS WINGS. GOD BLESS MARY'S ANGELS

I have nothing but admiration for this man. He was a successful businessman and a loving father. To me, he was my Uncle Sheldon. And such a good uncle at that. I recall him listening to the Pirates on radio as he tinkered with something in the garage. I recall him demanding that everyone eat peas at dinner (and he put exactly two on my plate). I will miss him.

Sheldon was a wonderful child of God with a gentle spirit! He will be greatly missed, but his kind and loving spirit will remain through the legacy he leaves behind at Leawood UMC,friends, and family. May God's love embrace you all in this time of loss.

Grace and Peace,
Caren Loper

Sheldon, what a great friend and gentle man you have been. I have fond memories of our work at LUMC and district trips. You were one of the first to reach out to me when I came on staff, and you were a great guide to all of the ministries we participated in. Thank you for being so thoughtful, so funny, so friendly, and a really good friend. Your children are a wonderful reflection of you and Shirley. Blessings always, we love you.
