Not sure what to say?

I believe I knew Dr Brotman when he was a surgery resident at NH 13 Great Lakes and I was corpsman. I remember him being the Commodore of the sailing club and sled dog owner. So sorry for your loss . He was a credit to the profession. Yours,GM Takala M.D.

Dear Marilyn
Your cousins Joan and Stuart Mitnick join in your sadness at Sheldon's passing. I recall our childhood memories, when I would go with Sheldon and my brother Richard to high school football games in Baltimore where he was on the cheering squad for his high school Baltimore City College. His folks were proud of his being an eagle scout, and I imagine that experience bred into him his love of the outdoors which led him to sailing. Joan and I pray that you are comforted by...

Dear Marilyn,
My belated condolences to you and the entire Brotman family!Eulogizing Sheldon was the most difficult task for me to complete. He was an unreal human being, physician, mentor, sailor who will be greatly missed but never forgotten!I cannot imagine myself at the next AAST conference without seeing him there. Our thoughts are with you!

Dear Mrs Brotman,
I was sorry to hear about "Doc" I knew him from Berkshire West and he was always fun to talk with. He was full of life!!
My best to your entire family.

I was so saddened to hear of Dr Brotman's death as he was always so full of life, and fun, in the years I worked with him at BMC - both on the floors and in the ED. Like Pasqualina with her Italian accent, Dr Brotman never missed an opportunity to put on his best British accent when he greeted me. I know he took great care of his patients and he will be missed.

My condolences to Dr.Brotman's family, he was a very special person.
I miss so much seeing Dr.Brotman walking through the ER doors and looking at me and saying "Buongiorno". Sometimes he would stop at the desk and start telling us stories about his sailing experiences. I loved his sense of humor.
He will missed very much.

Dear Marilyn,
Dr. Brotman will always be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him at ARMC. He was a compassionate teacher with a kind sense of humor. We still enjoy sharing Dr. Brotman stories in the trauma room in Atlantic City. He will never be forgotten.

Marilyn and family, the loss of Dr. Brotman sent a deep sadness through the Emergency Department at BMC. He was such a great and intelligent man. While I was vacationing on Cape Cod recently I sent a farewell message out to sea for him and Provincetown had fireworks that night for the monument birthday but as I watched them I envisioned them to be a celebration of his life and his love for the sea. He will be greatly missed by many. Lisa St. John RN BMC ER

Marilyn,

I recall very vividly my first meeting with Sheldon, in the administrative offices at BMC when he was still interviewing for the position as Trauma Director. I knew two things right away; that I was not a trauma surgeon, and that I was committed to helping this man achieve his goals here in any way that I could.

Sheldon was a dynamic and tireless physician, old-school, and tough as nails. However, he was never to tough to listen to the occasional story and...
