Sheldon Hahn

I was fortunate to have served with Sheldon on the Midway. He was a talented and entertaining shipmate, and an extremely thoughtful and caring soul. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Sheldon was a really solid guy. I was shocked to hear he had passed. Sheldon had a wry wit and an offbeat take on life. My condolences to his loved ones.

I served with Sheldon on the USS Midway- I'll never forget he remembered my 21st birthday with a Snickers bar- we were underway in the South China Sea. He was a free spirit- I met him again when he left the USN and was attending Evergreen State- gave me a tour and was proud to be a "Fightin' Geoduck"! I am completely shocked and deflated to learn of Sheldon's passing. I served with him onboard the USS Midway and loved every minute of being around him. He was a great friend with a hilarious sense of humor. My heart goes out to his friends and family. Know that he will be greatly missed by his shipmates. Fair Winds and Following Seas, Sheldon.

Here is the picture that he drew and signed for me. I have had it hanging on my wall for years. This was from him just sitting around doodling while we were in the Indian Ocean. He was going to throw it away and I told him no that I wanted it and I put it in a frame but he made sure he signed it before I sealed it. It is now priceless to me.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Sheldon's passing. I was stationed with Sheldon on board the USS Midway. He was such a great person and very talented. We spent a lot of time together and I have such great memories of him. No matter were we went we always had a great time. May he rest in peace, he may be gone from this world but he will never be forgotten, he was loved by his shipmates and I am very sure he was loved very much by his friends and Family.
