Not sure what to say?

Today, as we miss Mr. Kamen, we more fully appreciate his importance to our community. He was honest, empathetic, smart and he loved Wichita. God bless Sheldon Kamen. May he rest in peace.

I was saddened to learn Sheldon had passed away, he was a very dear friend of my late father (Ernest) and mine, I will remember him fondly.

I remember Sheldon Kamen as a man who took the issues of our schools and city seriously, studied them thoroughly, acted upon them independently. A man of integrity who put in a full day for family, faith and community every day.

When I first hear that Mr kamen passed away it hurt me so bad I knew him since I was 7 my momma worked for him at kamen Inc for 16 years he was a very special man I remember one time I called him papa kamen im 23 now rip Sheldon kamen

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Sheldon. When I lived in Wichita it was always a pleaure to be in his company. My sympthy to the family.

We are saddened to hear of Sheldon's passing. He and his wife were always so kind to my wife and I. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

My family has lost a truly wonderful man. He was so kind, gentle and soft-spoken. He had a sharp wit that you had to pay close attention to if you were catch the meaning. The entire community benefited from his wisdom and leadership. You will be missed. Love to all, Sharon Kamen Mesh Beggs

This makes me sad. My condolences to his family. I had not seen Sheldon for a long time, and I did not know that he was having a health problem. I will always remember Sheldon as a soft-spoken person. He had his ideas about what the role of government ought to be and about how the economy could do well. Sheldon continued his education throughout his life. He took a directed readings course from me at Wichita State. He was the ideal model of indivduals continuing with their education...

We lost a heck of a nice guy! He stood head and shoiulders above everyone else.
