Not sure what to say?

Shelly was a mentor from whom I learned much about law, politics and people. I often recall discussing a particularly thorny issue with him. I ran out of ideas, short of suing a Port District. He suggested that I call Sen. Feinstein, and he provided a direct phone number for one of her senior assistants. Dropping Shelly's name did the trick. Sen. Feinstein sent an email to the offending politicians, and within a couple of days the problem was resolved. Shelly taught me, among many other...

Truly ShellIy was a fine friend and honored fraternity brother who's memory will always be with us and thankful that we were privileged to have him in our lives.

Shelly was my friend and left a positive mark on my life. He has many wise sayings. One I remember well and have shared with many of my young friends What is the easiest thing to find. And the hardest thing to get rid of? Trouble then he would give a long look at me I miss you Shelly

OK - I am threes years behind the time but I was thinking of Shelly today and found this. I had a brief encounter with him in the late 90s through my work in renewable energy and found him to be a wise and generous man deserving of my greatest respect. I think of him often as it relates to the outreach he did in the political community and try to model my behavior after his. He was funny, kind, opinionated, intellectually challenging, and a great guy to chew the fat with. God Bless you...

I was saddened to learn only today (5-20-16) of Shelly's passing, which I tried to reach him to ask for his help in a particularly onerous matter. It was my great privilege to serve as co-counsel with him in a case about 10 years ago. I learned more from Shelly about the law, politics and people during the year or so that we worked together than I can possibly express. G_dspeed to his family. We have lost a giant.

Very smart and nice man. I always enjoyed talking politics or any other subject or issue with Shelly.

So sorry to hear about the passing of a lovely gentleman heaven is blessed
