Shelia Limon

Dallas - Shelia Limon, age 58, of Odessa, Texas passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.

Shelia Cullum Limon was born March 3, 1965 in Hamlin Texas to George "Buddy" Cullum and Rose Cullum. She was the youngest of three girls. Despite all of the many hurdles in her life, Shelia always remained positive, happy and strong willed. She never allowed her handicap to hold her back from living life to its fullest.

Shelia graduated from Odessa high school in 1983 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She went on to attend Odessa college where she earned an Associate Degree in substance abuse counseling. She was also a Disc Jockey at the Odessa college radio station.

Shelia had many friends and she loved them all dearly. They spent many days and nights, cruising the street to Odessa. She was a talented artist, and she loves music.

Shelia went on to become a DJ at various venues in Odessa. She also worked at MHMR where she was a great asset for many years.

Shelia met her husband, Ruben, in Odessa and after many years of friendship and courtship they were married June 27, 1992. They had a wonderful life together and they were blessed with their son Jacen on April 27, 2003. Shelia loved life and she lived each day to its fullest. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, George "Buddy" Cullum, and her nephew, Shea Culver.

Shelia is survived by her husband of 31 years; son, Jacen; mother, Rose Hahn Cullum; sisters, Susie Henry, Sharon Eicher (Mike); niece, Stacey Sanchez (Joe); nephew, Brady Culver; great nephews, Rhett Sanchez, Lane Culver, Jackson Culver; brothers-in-law, Felipe Limon, Tanis Limon, LoLo Vega, Oscar Limon; and sister-in-law, Lydia Terrazas.

A visitation for Shelia will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Dr, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 4635 Oakwood Dr, Odessa, Texas 79761. A committal service will occur Friday, December 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at American Heritage Cemetery, 4100 FM1788, Midland, Texas 79707.
