Shellia L. Transue

Shellia L. Transue, 56, of Pen Argyl, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 13th, surrounded by her loving family, at Easton Hospital.

Shellia was born in Easton, PA on September 6, 1959, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Helen L. (Woolley) Transue, Sr.

She was a 1978 graduate of Bangor High School. Shellia was a self-employed home health care aid in the Slate Belt area, for 35 years. She was of the Christian faith. Shellia enjoyed being a girl scout leader for 12 years, playing cards and spending time with her family and dog, Duke.

She was a member of the Washington Twp. Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

Shellia is survived by four daughters, Amanda Vanage and her husband Matthew, of Pen Argyl, PA; Crystal Copeland and her husband Kevin, of Colorado Spring, CO; Trisha Boettinger and her fiance Stephen Liiro, II, of East Bangor, PA; Sarah Boettinger and her fiance Anthony Hillegass, of Kunkletown, PA; a son, Frederick Boettinger, Jr., of Pen Argyl, PA; four sisters, Sharron Young, of Bangor; Sherry Oliver, of Pen Argyl; Sherril Ebersold, of Effort, PA; Shelly Transue, of Bangor, PA;
a brother, Lloyd Transue, Jr., 6 grandchildren Emily, Abigail, Nicholas, Briar, Alysa, & Brooklyn, and one grandchild on the way Jaxon, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 17th at Benders Church, 975 Benders Church Road, Pen Argyl, PA. Friends are invited to call 6 - 8 PM on Monday, May 16th at the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 314 S. First Street, Bangor, PA. and again 10 - 11 AM on Tuesday, May 17th at Benders Church in Pen Argyl, PA. Burial will be held at St. John's Cemetery, Bangor, PA.
