Not sure what to say?

Sherman and I worked for the Hartford Insurance Company in Jackson as claim adjusters. We played some golf when we took off early from work. He got into big trouble with Sandra when we drove from Hattiesburg to Jackson in 50 minutes. We were definitely speeding. Not very smart. Last time I saw Sherman was in Lafayette in the mid 70´s. My deepest condolences. May our Lord, our God in Heaven hold you, Mrs. Cherry, in His loving arms and comfort you and your family. I had Great respect for Mr. Cherry. He was a good man and a great contractor. Very professional and fun at the same time. Always conversed with me, and others, as Man to Man. Never on a level. Something I'm sure the Marines instilled into him. Mr. Cherry will always live in my memory. It was an honor to work for him and to have known him.

Sherman’s smile will be so missed at our reunions. Because my Dad had a 1937 Ford and he was the original owner, it was always interesting to hear about Sherman’s cars.

A very nice friend in high school, we all have good memories of him.

Sherman was so nice, one of our dental patients. Took me for a ride down Lloyd’s Lane and we went so fast. Loved his cars. They hosted a lunch for the whole office at their home for us. It meant so to us. Thanks for the memories Sherman Rest In Peace.

Sherman is the best of the good guys. He was everything written on this page and more. From our own experience we know what your family and all of your many, many friends are experiencing now. Our heartfelt prayers and love go out to you all now and in the days ahead. Sincerely, Dottie Fitzgibbon Evans and Family
