Not sure what to say?

uncle sherman was a very fun and powerful person.I love you uncle sherman

My deepest condolences to the family. Hopefully the expressed guest book messages will bring a small measure of comfort to all. The Harrisburg College crew (early 70's) traveled with Sherman back/forth to West Va. State in his GTO (due to the number of traveling hours, we had wonderful conversations about everything under the sun). Sherman was always a gentleman willing to give you the shirt off his back, if you were in need. His smile and deep voice would give you encouragement and/or put...

To the Cunningham family, my condolence.

Reflecting on where we were raised (Shipoke, South 9th Street) and all of the fun we had growing up in that neiborhood we never realized that by todays standards we were consider poor.

May you always rest in peace, Sherm! You were such a great friend, and we always had so much fun. . . all of us; all those basketball games, and you dancing in the street. To your family - You do not know me but I knew Sherman. I was a teller at PNC Bank on 29th St. and he used to come into the bank. I just wanted to express my sincere sympathy. Sherman was such a kind and wonderful person who cared about a lot of people especially the young. I remember donating many of my daughters trophies so that he could give out awards to youngsters at the rec center/boys club for their achievements. He was so excited. Always laughing and giving. I did not see...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. We will miss Sherman.

To the family, I'm sure you know what a special person Sherman was. He touched the lives of so many. He gave me my first job at the Boys Club in Hall Manor. Words can't express the impact that he had on so many. How blessed we are to have know Sherman Cunningham. Please know how deeply saddened I am to hear of Sherman's passing but also know how fortunate we all are to have come in contact with such a caring soul. May God keep you in peace.
